Makki uses the finest grade of Eel Skin Leather.

 

The leather is much softer than normal leather,

 

although it is approximately 3 times stronger.

 

The designs are hand made and hand dyed. The

 

leather is a by product of the food industry, the

 

eels are not killed for their skin. Treated with

 

care, the designs last for many years. Makki

 

recommend treating the leather with a leather

 

protector spray before use.
